In 2013, nationally 9% of students from families in the lowest income bracket earned a four year college degree by age 24. With a targeted focus on the needs of students from low-income families who have the potential to be first-generation college graduates, AccessED offers strategic customized solutions to support:

At AccessED we believe that students achieve more when school, families, and communities work together to support them. For locally operated charter school, national charter management organizations, and their funders, our team draws on decades of hands on experience working in and creating partnerships in low-income communities in Washington, DC to create:

  • Comprehensive community engagement plan using a strengths-based approach

  • Family engagement plan based on specific needs of parents and caregivers
